The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is the eighth worst airport in Asia in terms of queueing times, according to a study by an international vacation rental company.

Casago conducted the study by analyzing passenger reviews from airlinequality.com, where travelers can rate the queueing times between 1 and 5 stars. The airports included in the study were those that had 20 or more passenger reviews.

“Individual airports and countries were separately ranked on having the highest percentage of reviews for airport queuing times with a 4- or 5-star rating,” they explained.

NAIA landed the eighth spot on the worst airports ranking, garnering an 18.11% rating. Topping the list was Kuwait International Airport with an 11.11% score.

Singapore Changi Airport, meanwhile, was hailed the best airport for passenger queuing, gaining the highest rating of 74.50% in the study.

“Despite being one of the largest transportation hubs in Asia and repeatedly ranking as one of the world’s busiest airports, Changi Airport has consistently been rated as the 'World’s Best Airport' by Skytrax a dozen times,” the study stated.

“It has also been rated as one of the world’s cleanest airports, something which is regularly referenced in its passenger reviews,” it added.

Also included in the top list are Cambodia’s Siem Reap International Airport and Japan’s Tokyo Haneda Airport.
