Dedicated Swifties: Taylor Swift fans queue for more than 24 hours ahead of Singapore ticket sale

Taylor Swift fans are known for their dedication, and the upcoming general sale of tickets for her The Eras Tour concert is no exception.

Many of her dedicated Swifties have lined up outside SingPost outlets all over Singapore, as early as 24 hours before the general sale for the singer's much-anticipated The Eras Tour concert opened on July 7.

This is because Singapore is only one of two Asian countries that Taylor will be performing in, and fans are determined to get their hands on tickets for what could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Media outlets and social media users have been sharing photos and videos of the long queues, which have stretched for blocks in some cases. The fans are well-prepared, with many bringing tents, chairs, and food to make the wait more comfortable.

One fan arrived at a SingPost outlet 30 hours before the sale, while another fan even spent her 20th birthday queuing.

While this level of dedication is admirable, it has also led to some chaotic scenes. In one video posted by Must Share News, fans were seen rushing into a mall to queue, which caused disruption to other shoppers.

@mustsharenews Well they seem pretty “swift” to try and secure the tickets. 😜 #mustsharenews #sgnews #sgtiktok #singapore #taylorswift #erastour ♬ original sound - MustShareNews

Some fans have been so dedicated that they have gone without sleep, which prompted Domino's Pizza to give out free pizzas to those in line. This kind gesture was greatly appreciated by the fans, who were touched by the pizza chain's thoughtfulness.

Taylor is set to perform in Singapore on March 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9 in 2024. As of writing, the general sale has been met with over two million users in a virtual queue in the first hour since it launched on noontime of July 7.
