Lovi Poe is mourning the death of her shih tzu Phoebe who brought her "immense joy for 17 years."

On her Instagram account, the actress posted a sweet video as tribute for her deceased pet showing all of the wonderful memories they had together that was accompanied by a lengthy message detailing Lovi's last moments with Phoebe.

"As I lay on the couch with Phoebe, Señorito started sniffing the balcony door as if inviting us to step outside and do what we usually do in these wee hours," Lovi began, referring to her other furbaby. "Despite Phoebe’s frail condition, she managed to make her way to the door. I had the impulse to carry her to alleviate her efforts, yet it seemed she preferred to walk. And so I let her."

She shared that their usual routine at four in the morning involved getting a cup of coffee, going out for a run, and listening to a newly curated playlist.

"However, yesterday, we sat in silence, the three of us together, awaiting the break of dawn. I held Phoebe in my arms throughout the morning, and even Señor, usually prone to jealousy, remained quiet," Lovi recounted.

She continued, "It was a day where time seemed to stand still; I knew I was given a little bit more time. I was given the chance to be with her on her last sunrise."

Despite her loss, the local star expressed her happiness and Phoebe's long life that she spent with her.

"Though the moment was tinged with sorrow, she had brought us immense joy for 17 years. Originally given a mere six months to live, she surpassed all expectations and graced us with an additional two beautiful years," Lovi wrote.

"Run freely now, Phoebe, and jump around the clouds. Carry my love and kisses to my other cherished angels, Ross, Chibby, Chubby, and Seth," she added.

Many of her followers shared the same sorrow as her for Phoebe's death and offered their deepest condolences.

"Sorry for your loss, Lovi. Our furbabies will be our guardian angels," one user wrote.

Another one commented, "I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure Phoebe misses you. She's probably looking down at you now from the rainbow heavens. I believe that in time, when the right time comes, we will see them once again."
