Want to score a discount for Lin Manuel-Miranda's esteemed musical Hamilton as it makes its Asian premiere in Manila? You're in luck as you might be able to get tickets at a lower price by joining its digital ticket lottery.

The Tony Award-winning musical will be staged at The Theater at Solaire in Parañaque City on Sept. 17 and will run for almost two months until Nov. 26. Regular prices for the show range from P2,645 to P8,993, depending on where you're seated.

However, the digital ticket lottery, known in North America as Ham4Ham, will give theater lovers an opportunity to purchase two orchestra tickets for only P800 each.

Running exclusively through TicketWorld, the lottery will open on Sept. 11 at 10:00 a.m. and will last until Sept. 13 at 11:59 p.m. The tickets are for the performances on the week of Sept. 17 to 24.

There will be more subsequent Hamilton lotteries that will begin each Monday and close the following Wednesday for the upcoming week’s performances.

To join the lottery, you must sign up at TicketWorld using the email address associated with your active account on the website for entry access. However, you are limited to having only one entry per week.

Winners will be notified every Thursday at 12:00 p.m. for the upcoming week’s performances via email from TicketWorld. The confirmation email will include a one-time-use promo code and a purchase link that will expire at 12:00 p.m. the following day of the receipt of the email.

Winners may claim and pay for their tickets online or over the counter at TicketWorld outlets before the promo code expires.

Based on Ron Chernow's book published in 2004, the musical tells the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton—a poor orphan who later became the right-hand of George Washington, helped draft the U.S. Constitution, and revolutionized the country's financial system, among many other feats.

It won 16 nominations and 11 awards, including best musical at the Tony Awards, considered the highest accolade in the musical industry. It also won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for drama.
