Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade unleashed their final trailer on Friday, May 7, giving fans a closer look at details of the upcoming PlayStation 5 game ahead of its June release.

The three-and-a-half-minute long trailer shed some light on previously unseen story details. The new footage from Square Enix showed us a boss battle with a machine from Scarlet, new Materia Summon Ramuh, an encounter with a mysterious masked character Dirge of Cerberus fans may be familiar with, and the return of strategy mini-game Fort Condor.

The visually enhanced edition of the award-winning PS4 game features INTERmission—a brand new episode which follows Yuffie Kisaragi as the main character, along with numerous gameplay additions. The Intergrade DLC will focus mainly on elite ninja operatives Yuffie and partner Sonon Kusakabe.

Final Fantasy VII Remake's social media accounts broke down the highlights, sharing video snippets from the latest trailer.

Those who enjoyed playing Darts, Whack-a-Box, Squats, battling in the Combat Coliseum and more in Final Fantasy VII Remake will be happy to know that the Yuffie’s new chapter comes with its own mini-game.

The new tactical mini-game playable in the INTERmission episode looks like an upgraded version of the auto chess-style battler based on the Fort Condor challenge from the original Final Fantasy VII.

Viewers see Yuffie and Sonon infiltrating Shinra and battle-ready in a confrontation with Scarlet, head of weapons development at Shinra, and one of her robots. A fight sequence also introduces the new Summon Materia Ramuh, a powerful wizard that wields electricity.

Toward the end, the trailer also reveals the mysterious Nero, a masked figure with devilish wings who was the antagonist from the PS2 shooter Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII. The trailer concludes with Yuffie looking over a sea of fire and crying out.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is expected to launch for the PS5 on June 10, 2021. According to Square Enix, Intergrade will be exclusive to PS5 “for at least six months earlier than any other format.”
