Here’s why Miley Cyrus’ old songs are suddenly trending on Twitter

The pop icon along with her fandom, the Smilers, has proven once again that her songs deserve to be performed on stage again.

At 12:30 a.m. on June 29, Miley Cyrus asked her fans on Twitter for their favorite tracks from her fifth studio album, “Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz,” that they wanted to see the singer perform again for future festival setlists.

Two hours later, she added, “Any album. Any era. Any song. GO! I’m not making my festival set list anymore! YOU are!”

SInce then, her entire discography has taken over the music and pop trending topics on Twitter.

According to Miley Data on Twitter, more than 50 of her songs are trending topics both in the United States and worldwide.

All of her studio albums and EP, “She is Coming,” were also on the pop trending topics today.

Even her alter egos, Hannah Montana, from the Disney teen sitcom of the same name, and Ashley O from Black Mirror, shared the limelight on the trending topic as well, as fans also wanted the pop star to “cover” their popular hits, including Netflix which wants to see On A Roll live.

Just from two tweets, Miley Cyrus has proven her popularity with fans and casual listeners tweeting their dream setlists and praying for a future world tour to happen.

Miley Cyrus recently performed for Stand By You, a Pride Month special concert which streamed on Peacock on June 25, where she sang her own hits such as The Climb, My Heart Beats For Love and Party in the USA, as well as renditions of pop songs from Madonna, Cher, Cyndi Lauper, Pat Benatar, ABBA, and more.
