Globe SIM registration via GlobeOne App now open

Published Feb 28, 2023 10:00 am

Globe customers can now register their SIMs through the GlobeOne app, another convenient and accessible option to comply with the SIM Registration Act.

By making SIM registration available on the app, Globe hopes to expand reach to its subscribers and finish registration of roughly 86.7 million SIM users under the Globe network by the April 26, 2023 deadline. As of Feb. 22, Globe has logged over 14.47 million registrations.

“We have made the GlobeOne app available for SIM registration to provide an easy and convenient platform for our customers to register. Through the app, you’ll be able to complete your registration in three easy steps! What’s more, you will also get to access exclusive offers, and the best deals and rewards available only on the app. We encourage our customers to plan and schedule their SIM registration as early as they can,” said Darius Delgado, Globe Consumer Mobile Business head.

The GlobeOne app may be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. Subscribers must have all the necessary information and documents ready before starting the registration process. These are the following:

  • Full name
  • Birthday
  • Sex
  • Address
  • Type of government ID presented and ID number
  • Valid government ID with photo (file size only up to 4MB)
  • Selfie photo (file size only up to 4MB)

Once ready, you may register in three easy steps:

  1. Tap ‘Register Your SIM’ when you open the GlobeOne app.
  2. Select the account you want to register or enter your number. Update your info.
  3. Wait for the confirmation that you’re registered.

Customers are advised to take note of their registration number after successfully submitting their details.

Globe also reiterated its warning against dealing with individuals or parties offering their services to help with SIM registration as this may lead to fraud and identity theft. For instance, fraudsters may use your personal details to hack your bank accounts or e-wallets, or create fake accounts with your name and photo for use in illicit activities.

“We strongly advise customers to only use official channels for SIM registration and not to share personal information with strangers or unverified sources. The GlobeOne app and our company's SIM registration website, https://new.globe.com.ph/simreg, are the only official channels where our customers should register,” said Delgado.

Globe has also started rolling out assisted registration sites for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, users of basic or feature phones and anyone in need of help to get their SIMs registered. This is to ensure that customers are able to register their SIMs in a timely and convenient manner regardless of their challenges or circumstances.

Globe encourages all customers to register their SIMs before the deadline of April 26, 2023 to avoid the risk of SIM deactivation.
