Here's what to expect at Art in the Park 2024 as it returns this March

On the lookout for another art event this year? Then you've come to the right place as most anticipated art outdoor exhibit is set to return with more than 60 exhibitors this March.

For its 18th edition, the Art in the Park is set to provide fair-goers an opportunity to engage, interact, and immerse themselves in artworks from over 60 galleries, art collectives, independent art spaces, and student groups.

For collectors who are keen on adding a new art piece to their collection, the prices of artworks are capped at P70,000.

Continuing their tradition, Art in the Park 2024 will also feature special exhibits by Filipino artists that have been carefully handpicked by the fair’s organizers. This year, the featured artists are multimedia graphic artist Demi Padua, and abstractionists Pepe Delfin and Clarence Chun.

Padua, who has showcased his works in every edition of Art in the Park since 2006, is known for the intriguing composition of his works where he blends figurative and abstract elements.

The effect is a series of collage-like images that conceal and reveal subjects beneath layers of photo-realistic materials, peeling away to unmask their real identities.

Delfin, on the other hand, focuses her craftsmanship on exploring abstract forms through geometric shapes, squiggles, and lines.

She carefully places each element to produce a visual storytelling of the artist's experiences, observations, and relationships with people and contemporary life. In her works, Delfin constructs scenes portraying solitude and a multitude of emotions through vibrant hues and structured compositions.

Art in the Park will also offer a variety of options for food and beverage concessionaires in case you're feeling tired from a day of exploring the fair. You can enjoy a quick bite or savor cocktails leisurely all while listening to music from local indie bands Any Name’s Okay and Soulful Mood.

Art in the Park 2024 will take place on March 17 at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Makati City from 10 am to 10 pm. You won't have to worry about the budget as entrance to the fair is free for all.
