Those who have a passion for Impressionist artworks might know a thing or two about Claude Monet, a masterful French painter who was a strong advocate of the art style. He went down in the history books for his expressive brushstrokes and blurred shapes and colors depicting everyday sceneries.

Now, both fans and strangers to his works will be treated to a new art show that will showcase masterpieces of Monet as well as Impressionists Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, and many more through a stunning combination of light and sound on various art pieces.

Welcome to "Monet & Friends Alive – An Immersive Adventure into French Impressionism," a unique experience organized by Grande Experiences that will give you a new-found appreciation for Impressionism.

The exhibit, located at the BGC Arts Center in Bonifacio Global City, boasts large-scale data paintings that are truly a feast for the eyes.

Introduction to historical painters

Guests will first be led to a room that contains a detailed timeline of the history of Impressionism displayed on the wall. Discover the lives, legacies, and most celebrated works of the masters who brought this revolutionary movement to life. Uncover their stories and learn how they redefined landscape painting by seeking to capture the atmosphere of each view.

Multi-sensory storytelling

The exhibit reaches its most exciting part with its immersive gallery where guests can immerse themselves in a multi-sensory storytelling experience. Here, the Grande Experiences creative team used large-scale canvases to display various artworks that showcase the full breadth of the Impressionist movement.

You can easily get lost in the vibrant colors and intricate details of the Impressionists' works. The display is also accompanied by inspirational quotes from Monet and other artists that are sure to make an impact and perhaps even light a fire in your heart to try your hand at painting.

Along with classical music that is synchronized with the visual display, the section also triggers your sense of smell as the area is filled with a fresh floral, citrusy, and woody fragrance.

The combination of lemon, lime bloom, jasmine, geranium, orange flower, patchouli, cedar wood, musk, and pine create a feeling of being transported into the beautiful landscapes where the Impressionists first created their works, resulting in a truly out-of-this-world experience.

Instagrammable spots

Of course, your trip to the exhibit won't be complete without any pictures to make your artistic adventure an unforgettable one. Luckily, "Monet & Friends Alive" has a fitting finale in the form of an enchanting garden that attempts to recreate the real-life garden of Monet in France.

With its rows of mirrors, a ceiling completely covered in leaves, and a variety of colorful blooms, the area will definitely bring out a sense of wonder in you as you'll feel like you've stepped into a setting that is only possible in a painting. It's a perfect place for some mirror selfies with your friends!

The exhibit ends with a recreation of the Japanese footbridge Monet had built for his water-lily garden that you can pose for pictures on.

"Monet & Friends Alive" will run starting Jan. 31 up at the BGC Arts Center, 26th Street corner 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Tickets to explore the show for two hours are priced at P1,200, with discounted prices at P800 for children, students up to college level, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. If you want to freely enter and exit the exhibit within the day, you can opt to get a premium ticket for P2,500.
