Sad news, Marvel fans. You'll have to wait a little bit longer to see your favorite heroes on the big screen as the studio has pushed back the dates of several of their upcoming films.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney announced that the third installment of Deadpool will premiere in theaters on July 26, 2024, instead of May 3, 2024.

The film will have Ryan Reynolds returning as the wisecracking mutant mercenary with accelerated healing, and joining him is Hugh Jackman as the clawed hero Wolverine.

Meanwhile, Captain America: Brave New World, the fourth installment in the Captain America film series that was supposed to swim into theaters on July 26, 2024, has now been moved to Feb. 14, 2025.

It stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, previously known as the Falcon until he assumed the role of Captain America.

Other films that have changed their scheduled premiere are Thunderbolts, pushed back to July 25, 2025 from Dec. 20, 2024, and Blade, moving to Nov. 7, 2025 from Feb. 14, 2025.

The changes come as Hollywood actors and studios reached a tentative deal to end a months-long strike that has crippled the entertainment industry, delayed hundreds of popular shows and films, and cost billions to the US economy.
