WATCH: Nadine Lustre's 'Deleter' takes the premise literally with an eerily cut trailer

"This video has been deleted."

We might have seen that warning on flagged YouTube videos for when they violate community guidelines, but it became the main driving point for the upcoming highly-anticipated Nadine Lustre film, Deleter.

In the official full trailer for the film, we see Lustre as Lyra, an online content moderator, who finds a suicide video made by her co-worker, which she has to take down.

She is then followed by eerie voices and a mysterious presence in her office building before the trailer is abruptly cut at the 17-second mark and the familiar warning words are flashed on the screen.

Not much happens for the rest of the two-minute clip save for a jumpscare a few seconds after the screen cuts to black. Suffice to say, it got horror fans reeling at the one-of-a-kind concept.

"Ang witty ng concept ng trailer. Congratulations agad Nadine and the team!" a commentator said.

"napakagaling ng gumawa ng concept nito!!!! pinag-isipan masyado, trailer pa lang yan huh," another mentioned.

Meanwhile, Deleter is Lustre's first "techno-horror" film helmed by Dead Kids director, Mikhail Red. Lustre is joined by Louise Delos Reyes, McCoy De Leon, and Jeffrey Hidalgo.

The film will be released theatrically this Dec. 25 as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2022.
