Maggie Wilson reactivates Instagram, shares brief 'unbearable' conversation with son: 'Something has to change'
A week after deactivating her account, Maggie Wilson returned to Instagram to share a part of her conversation with her son, Connor that she said was “unbearable to listen to.”
“This is why I’ve been quiet,” the former beauty queen began in her Instagram stories on Thursday, Aug. 31.
She proceeded to share a six-second voice message from her son, Connor, who sounded like he was crying and in distress.
"That's what I dream of every night, waiting at the airport for you," Connor said in the audio clip.
In her next story, Maggie wrote that it was just a part of their “many long conversations that are unbearable to listen to.”
“We have NO child protection services or laws on parental abduction in the Philippines," she emphasized in the next story. “Something has to change.”
Connor is Maggie’s son with her estranged husband, Victor Consunji. The two announced their separation in September 2021 after 11 years of marriage, saying it was a "difficult decision" at the time.
Since the split, the two have been public about their legal disputes, including allegations of adultery.
In May, Maggie revealed that it’s been almost a year since she last saw her son while sharing a video compilation of their memories for the past years.
The model admitted that things became “challenging” when she and businessman Victor Consunji separated and that there are times when she questioned her own selfishness. It was, however, something she had to do because she wanted their son to see them happy, even though they were no longer together.
“I only wanted him to be happy because I couldn’t give him that. I was simply not enough,” she said.
“One day, when someone steps in from our justice system, we will see each other again. We can hold each other, smile together, and go through life making happy memories together. I want you to know that I look forward to that day,” she stressed.
Maggie is rumored to be in a relationship with businessman Tim Connor. Victor, meanwhile, has started a romance with entrepreneur Rachel Carrasco.
