Kathryn Bernardo has received a nod at South Korea's prestigious Seoul International Drama Awards.

The actress got nominated in the Outstanding Asian Stars category featuring popular actors from Korea, China, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines. She will compete against South Korea's Song Joong-ki, Lee Je-hoon, Yoon-ah, Park Eun-bin, and Song Hye-kyo.

Other international nominees include China's Lai Ter-Chien, Wanghedi, and Shuxin Yu; Japan's Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Kento Yamazaki; Taiwan's Vivian Sung, and Thailand's Nichkhun.

The Outstanding Asian Stars category is one of three international invitation categories in the South Korea-based awards program.

International fans may support their picks from June 15 to July 14 through the voting platform service app Idolchamp.

The Seoul International Drama Awards, which is celebrating its 18th anniversary this year, will be held on Sept. 21. Winners who will be selected by vote will also be invited to attend the ceremony personally.

Kathryn has three upcoming films, including A Very Good Girl with Dolly de Leon, comfort woman film Elena 1944, and an untitled project with Daniel Padilla.

Last year, her ABS-CBN colleague Belle Mariano received the Outstanding Asian Star award, making her the first Filipina actress to achieve the feat.
