It's a win for Belle Mariano!

The rising actress received the Outstanding Asian Star title on Thursday, Sept. 22 at the 17th Seoul International Drama Awards in Seoul, South Korea.

Founded in 2006, the Seoul International Drama Awards is an award-giving festival known in South Korea that brings Asian drama and entertainment into the global limelight.

The He's into Her lead was chosen as one of this edition's recipients after besting 175 other Asian actors and actresses. The same award was given to China’s Wallace Chung, Japan’s Yusei Yagi, Taiwan’s Alice Ko, and Thailand’s Krit Amnuaydechkorn.

Mariano accepted the award wearing a pink asymmetrical gown by Francis Libiran. She was escorted by ABS-CBN Head for International Production and Co-Production Ruel S. Bayani and ABS-CBN Films AdProm Head Mico Del Rosario.

“Thank you for giving me this life-changing opportunity. The supporters, I wouldn’t be here without you guys. Lubos po akong nagpapasalamat sa inyo, maraming maraming salamat.” the actress expressed in gratitude upon receiving the award.

This remarkable feat makes her the fifth Filipino celebrity to win the same title behind Gabby Concepcion, Dennis Trillo, Alden Richards, and Dingdong Dantes.

The other nominees from the Philippines in the category were Mariano's co-lead Donny Pangilinan, and fellow Star Magic talents Dimples Romana, Maris Racal, Jake Cuenca, Zanjoe Marudo, Charlie Dizon, and Kaila Estrada.

Mariano is most recognized in films such as Four Sisters Before the Wedding and Love Is Color Blind.
