Lindsay Lohan is 'very excited for next chapter in life' as she anticipates first baby
Lindsay Lohan couldn't be more thrilled to meet her first child!
Speaking with PEOPLE, a source close to Lindsay shared that the actress is "very excited for this next chapter in her life." This may come as no surprise, as the Mean Girls star has been busy filling up her Instagram page with pictures of her blissfully happy self while flaunting her growing baby bump.
"Motherhood has always been something that was in the cards for her, but it was a matter of when the time was right and she was ready," the source added.
Lindsay's mother, Dina, is overjoyed that her oldest child is finally a mother, adding that she is "so proud of Lindsay."
"She is super excited to be a mom and we speak several times a day about every little beautiful thing she feels as the baby grows — sending me daily pictures and monthly/weekly check-ups," Dina told the magazine.
"Her siblings and I are so excited to share this miracle together. Bader and his family are so wonderful and we are blessed to all have such admiration for this blessing of joy to soon arrive," she added.
In a prior interview, Dina shared that Lindsay has always loved kids because they "have a big family, so she's always wanted children."
Asked how she is feeling now that she is about to welcome her bundle of joy soon, Lindsay told Allure magazine that she has been shedding a lot of "happy tears" from simple gestures, such as her baby shower where she was surrounded by her nearest and dearest.
"It’s overwhelming in a good way," Lindsay said. "I can't wait to see what the feeling is and what it's like to just be a mom."
The actress first announced that she is expecting a baby with her husband, financier Bader Shammas in mid-March. This will be her first child together.
