Paris Hilton called for kindness and empathy as she opened up about how difficult it is to understand that there are people “who would target such innocence” following negative comments about the head of her son Phoenix.

The American socialite and businesswoman shared photos of her and her child on Instagram on Friday, Oct. 20, marking his first time in New York City.

While her fans and showbiz friends like Demi Lovato sent their love to Phoenix, some pointed out that Paris needs to have her baby's head checked by a doctor.

Reacting to the negative comments in the comment section of her post, Paris said: “There are some sick people in this world. ️My angel is perfectly healthy.”

“And yes, of course, he has been to a doctor, he just has a large brain,” she added.

The 42-year-old Stars are Blind singer further addressed the comments on her Instagram stories on Oct. 24, calling them “cruel and hateful.”

“Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable,” she said, adding that it hurts her “more deeply than words can describe.”

"I've worked hard to cultivate an environment that is all about love, respect, and acceptance, and I expect the same in return,” she continued.

Paris talked about how she’s in a difficult position when it comes to sharing bits of her personal life with the public.

"If I don't post my baby, people assume I'm not a great mother, and if I do post him there are some people who are cruel and hateful,” she said. “I'm a proud working mom and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable, and angelic."

She went on to describe Phoenix as her “biggest blessing” in life.

“Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters,” she wrote.

“It's hard to fathom that there are people in this world who would target such innocence. I hope that people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy,” she concluded.

Paris welcomed her first child with businessman Carter Reum in January via surrogacy, over a year after getting married in 2021.

On her iHeartRadio podcast This Is Paris, she shared that they chose the name "Phoenix" because it references a "bird that flames out and then rises from the ashes to fly again."

"I want my son to grow up knowing that disaster and triumph go around and come around throughout our lives. And that this should give us great hope for the future," she said.
