Danica Sotto-Pingris opened up about her pregnancy journey with her third child, Jean Luc, whom she and her husband Marc Pingris welcomed in January 2023.

On the April 10 episode of her vlog, Danica looked back on her childbirth experience with her two other kids, Jean Michele and Anielle Micaela before detailing about her experience with her youngest.

She said that she and Marc had been waiting for baby number 3 for about ten years, thus the pregnancy seems new to her again.

"Parang bago lahat ulit, since ang tagal nung [agwat]. Scheduled cesarean section na siya, kasi nga CS ako nung first, because hindi ako nag-dilate," she shared.

She added that her youngest child is a big baby and that she tried for a VBAC or a vaginal birth after a cesarean section. "Unfortunately, a few weeks before I gave birth nagkaroon ako ng low-lying placenta. So, again I wasn't allowed to have a normal delivery," she said.

Danica, who is 40 years old, revealed that she was advised by her doctor to have a cesarean delivery to prevent risk.

"So itong third, siyempre hindi na, may doctor didn't want to take the risk, my OB, Dr. Pascua. Kasi, parang kinunsider na ako na high-risk, because of my age."

The mommy vlogger also added that she was really careful in terms of taking care of herself to avoid complications during her pregnancy.

"Talagang nag-ingat talaga ako, meaning, I really ate healthy food, tapos inalagaan ko sarili ko. Nag-e-exercise ako, pero lumaki pa rin si baby… But anyway, 9.3 pounds!"

"Hindi na ako nakakatulog, dahil ang bigat-bigat. Ang hirap-hirap, ang sakit sa balakang, sa tiyan. But, you know, nung nanganak ako, same 'yung feeling... Ang sarap nung feeling na 'yung parang, 'Wow! Ang galing talaga ni God. Ito 'yung miracle of life.'"

Danica went on and said she is thankful that her delivery went well. She also shared that she felt God's presence in the delivery room.

"I really felt God's presence and grace all throughout nung surgery na parang the doctors, the nurses, and everyone there, they really knew what to tell me para to keep me calm," she said.

"And at the same time, wala naging aberya sa procedure. And I'm thankful, kasi may nangyayaring minsan 'di ba, sa age ko na 40, parang 'yung iba, oh sobrang dinudugo or may nagkakaroon ng kumplikasyon. So, I'm thankful na wala naman," she added.

In her vlog, Danica also gave advice on what to expect before, during, and after giving birth by C-section.
