Kathryn Bernardo explains recent sighting with Jericho Rosales

Kathryn Bernardo explained why she was spotted on a late night run with Jericho Rosales, whom she described as a "nice guy."

The A Very Good Girl actress talked about their recent sighting in an interview with ABS-CBN News during her contract renewal with the network on Friday, Feb. 3.

According to her, she first met up with her friend, fellow Goin' Bulilit alum John Manalo that day, who was the one who invited her for a late-night jog. 

“Nagkita kami nun, magwo-work out ako talaga that day tapos namention niya na magjojogging. Sabi niya, ‘Gusto mo sumama?’ Then I said, 'Okay, why not? Kaysa magwork out ako mag-isa,” she explained. 

“So, nagjogging kami. It was 11 [p.m.], late na, we were just having fun and working out, 'yun lang,” she said. 

During her contract renewal, Kathryn bared her plans for her future projects, mentioning that Jericho is among the actors she wants to work with in the future.  

“He’s such a nice guy, sobrang bait niya. Ayaw mo bang makatrabaho 'yung ganun? So let’s just see,” she said. 

Jericho has also sent some love and support to the 27-year-old actress during the event.

"I want to congratulate you for the steps that you've been taking. I've been watching you and you've been doing great. And I hope that we can work on something someday, and let's work on that promise," he said in his message. 

The two were also spotted together at the gender reveal party of Maja Salvador and Rambo Nunez's first child.

Jericho’s godfather recently revealed that the actor and his longtime love Kim Jones have been separated since 2019—four years after their wedding. He stressed that the split "was a mutual decision" and that it was "dealt with grace and maturity." 

Kathryn, meanwhile, was previously with reel and real-life partner Daniel Padilla. She announced their breakup in November 2023.
