BTS’ Jimin thanks Ryan Gosling for Ken’s guitar

Ryan Gosling and BTS member Jimin are the unexpected duo we never knew we needed!

Jimin took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the Hollywood actor for his gift and to congratulate him on the successful release of his movie, Barbie.

“I could see that you look great in my outfit, thank you for this guitar,” the singer said. “I really love it, and I look forward to watching Barbie.”

Last July 19, the Barbie actor gave a shoutout to Jimin in honor of an unspoken "Ken code."

The Ken code states: "If you bite another Ken's style, you have to give them your most prized possession.”

In the film, Ken (played by Ryan) wore the same cowboy outfit as Jimin from BTS’ music video for their third English single Permission to Dance. It was an all-black western-style top adorned with white frills from H Bar C's Taos.

"I have to give it to you; you wore it first. You definitely wore it best,” the actor said.

Ryan then offered Ken's black acoustic guitar from the movie with the character's name written on it to Jimin.

“I hope you'll accept Ken's guitar as my humble offering. Besides, Ken doesn't really play anyways so it'll be much better in your hands," he added.

Throughout the years, Jimin has expressed his love for Ryan’s movie The Notebook. In one instance early last year, the South Korean singer disclosed on Weverse, a social media platform that BTS members use to connect with fans, that he has finished watching it for the seventh time.

The Barbie movie premiered in the Philippines last July 19.
