WATCH: Taylor Swift performs heart-filled rendition of 'Bigger Than the Whole Sky' following fan's death
Taylor Swift on Nov. 19, Sunday, performed a heart-filled rendition of her song Bigger Than the Whole Sky, in honor of a fan who died during The Eras Tour’s Brazil leg.
X user @swifferupdates, a verified Swift fan account with over 195,000 followers, shared a clip of Swift performing with the piano.
“Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye / You were bigger than the whole sky,” Swift sang as the crowd sang along while waving their phones. “I’ve got a lot to live without / I’m never gonna meet / What could’ve been, would’ve been / What should’ve been you.”

Brazilian newspaper Folha de S. Paulo reported that Ana Clara Benevides, 23, fainted on the Nov. 17, Friday, show Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro.
That day, Brazil had a heat wave, according to Vulture. Fans took to social media to claim that the venue didn’t allow water bottles inside.
Benedives was rushed to the hospital and ultimately died of cardiorespiratory arrest.
Swift was compelled to postpone the show on Nov. 18, Saturday.
Ahead of Sunday’s performance, Swift took to Instagram Story to mourn Benevides’s passing.
“I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show,” Swift said.
“I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this. There’s very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young.”
The Brazil federal government ordered the concert organizer, Time for Fun, to provide information explaining the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, Vulture reported.
Wadih Damous, the head of Brazil’s consumer protection agency, told The New York Times that its decision to allegedly prevent people from drinking water amid the heat is “insane and irresponsible.”
The government is also investigating the matter, seeking information on “who determined the ban on access to water at the show, whether drinking fountains were available, [information] about the technical staff responsible for medical care at the event location, [and] what procedures were adopted to help Ana Clara,” according to CNN International.
Swift is returning to the venue on Nov. 20, Monday.
