K-pop group UNIS has officially made its debut on Wednesday, March 27 with the track, Superwoman.

The newly formed K-pop girl group has finally released their much-anticipated debut with their first mini album dubbed We Unis with lead single Superwoman which tells a message about confidence.

The eight-member group, managed by the F&F agency comprises Nana, Kotoko, Yunha, Yoona, Seowon, and Pinays Gehlee, Elisia, and Fil-Korean Hyeonju.

The group name was derived from the phrases “Universe is started” and “U&I story.”

It was formed at the South Korean reality competition show Universe Ticket where they bested other 74 aspiring K-pop idols from across the globe.

The program comprises coaches who guide the aspirants in their K-pop universe journey. These include South Korean solo artists Adora and Younha, singer-actress Kim Se-jeong, Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon, and Lachica's Rian. ITZY's Yeji and Chaeryeong, on the other hand, serve as celebrity mentors.

The group is also set to hold their three-day fan sign tour in the Philippines, starting on May 4 in Cebu and May 5 & 6 in Manila. Further details including the ticket prices and venue are yet to be announced.
