Ben&Ben to perform at Ed Sheeran's Manila concert

Ben&Ben is ticking off another box from their bucket list. This time, they are set to perform alongside Ed Sheeran for his '+ - = ÷ x Tour' in Manila, happening on March 9.

The 9-piece Filipino indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben took to Instagram to share their excitement over the "surreal" news.

"Ma, special guest na kami ni Ed Sheeran sa concert niya," they wrote. "Parang dati lang, nagcocover lang kami ng perfect sa Youtube. Never in our wildest dreams did we think this could happen. Surreal."

The band also shared a throwback video of the said cover which was posted in 2017.

"Ibang iba pa itsura namin nun. Andami na pala nating pinagdaanan, Liwanag," they wrote.

Ben&Ben boasts an impressive collection of accolades, including an Asia Artist Award, an Aliw Award, an NME Award, two MYX Music Awards, and 16 Awit Awards. They achieved international recognition in 2020 when they secured the 29th spot on the Billboard Social Top 50 Chart. Spotify also acknowledged them as the most-streamed Filipino artist ever, surpassing two billion streams.

Ed Sheeran's '+ - = ÷ x Tour' in Manila on March 9 will be held at the SMDC Festival Grounds, Paranaque City, with Calum Scott as one of his special guests. Ovation Productions also announced on Feb. 27 that due to popular demand, a new General Admission (Cat 8) Section has been opened.
