Michael Cinco on a Spanish holiday

Michael Cinco’s recent fashion show was a veritable holiday collection—with a Spanish flavor.

From the breathtaking Roman Catholicism of La Sagrada de Familia in Barcelona, to the iconic masterpieces of Spanish artists like Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali, to the captivating Spanish matadors and flamenco dancers, Cinco’s collection captured the essence of Spain in every stitch. 

Consisting of 50 haute couture looks, Cinco’s latest creations reflected an exquisite fusion of art and culture inspired from his travels. Called “The Impalpable Dream of España” for the Philippine Legacy Gala 2023 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, the event also marked the launch of his new perfume series and jewelry line to complete Cinco’s lifestyle brand.

Cinco has achieved international acclaim, having dressed Hollywood celebrities including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Mila Kunis, Rihanna, and Naomi Campbell. He received the Presidential Award for Outstanding Filipinos Overseas and was named Designer of the Year at the EMI Gala Awards Night in Dubai.

The fashion show was a charity event that benefitted the Philippine Missionari Della Fondazione di Carita and the Gusi Peace Foundation.
