By Catherine Kris Ciar Published Oct 18, 2022 11:26 am

According to World Health Organization data, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the Philippines. Statistics show that breast cancer accounts for 16% of all cancer diagnoses in women and that three out of every hundred Filipino women will acquire cancer during their lifetime.

Here are just a few organizations in the Philippines that you can support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October 2022. Various groups and brands are also holding events and special promos throughout the month.

Kasuso Foundation

Kasuso Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to providing early detection and navigation so that indigent patients can access quality and timely treatment and care. Kasuso is currently under Philippine Foundation For Breast Cancer (PFBCI). From 2004-2015, PFBCI was the only advocate and support group that managed and operated on breast care in a public hospital during that time.
