Action arrives in haven, tranquility meets thrill, and serenity embraces fun and adventure as Okada Manila turns the corner in 2024 with flying colors following the launch of its new, world-class attraction—this time for the athletes, sports and fitness enthusiasts alike.

Upping the ante in the hotel and resorts race, the five-star hotelier proved yet again that it’s more than just a place for stay, food, leisure and games with Thrillscape obstacle course as its newest facility on board.

Truly a game-changer in the obstacle racing located at the heart of the hotel, the Thrillscape at Okada Manila is the largest Tag Active Indoor Obstacle Course in Asia right upon its highly-anticipated launch much to the delight of adventure seekers.

Name it: young ones, young once and young at-heart, budding and professional athletes, fitness gurus and ordinary people who are just mad in love with adventures can all try Thrillscape, a 1200-square meter course that offers up to 30 levels of challenges to finish.

It’s equipped with an electronic scoring system, including daily and all-time tallies, for ultra-competitive racers as well comfortable and easier features for those who would like to enjoy each level with their families.

Island Hop for vertical jump, Vertical Ascent for body core, Boiling Point for strength, 20-foot V-Bridge for balance and coordination, 10-meter acrylic wall for perseverance, Spider Wall for speed and the ultimate 17-foot Power Wall for reflexes are among the banner challenges in Thrillscape.

Pace or race, as Okada Manila Director of Spas, Recreation and Kids’ Club (SPARK) said.

“This is a place where you pace or race, play and have fun towards a healthier living,” Aquino beamed.

Thrillscape, like Okada’s rise as the grand icon and jewel of entertainment in the Philippine acropolis, wasn’t built overnight.

If anything, it was a realization of a long-coveted dream way before the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This is a special night for us. It’s a culmination of years of hardwork just toget this project up and running,” said Rob Scott, vice president for hotel operations at Okada Manila, adding that the project was first introduced in 2019 in hope of establishing a new but remarkable facility.

“We’re looking for a different attraction. We’re looking for something else different. We looked for different things and we kept coming to this one, the Thrillscape,” he added.

On Thursday, the dream came into fruition with the Philippine Obstacle Sports Federation (POSF), the country’s national sports association, blessing it right away with an accreditation plaque as the newest course in the country.

“The partnership between Thrillscape and POSF is a testament to this development. We, at the POSF, are thrilled to be part of Okada’s initiative. This is another home for our athletes, a new playground and training ground and a new competition facility,” said POSF president Atty. Alberto Agra.

“Let’s learn and conquer from our obstacles. Like obstacle racing, it’s an ‘advertunity’. We create opportunities from our adversities.”

More than the fun and adventure for everyone, the POSF said Thrillscape could be of big help for the cause of the Philippine obstacle, which boasts eight national teams, world champions, Southeast Asian Games gold medalists, world record holders and internationally-certified coaches and officials.

Call it a new playground for curious ones in town and a new training site for fiery dreamers.

Well, a home, too, as Okada Manila champions its staple goal of welcoming and embracing everyone to its grand manor like family.
