Here are the top employers for fresh graduates in the Philippines in 2024
Fresh grad and "officially unemployed"?
Navigating life after college graduation includes getting ready to face the ups and downs of "adulting." For many, the next step is to go job hunting, hoping to get into the best company with good working conditions, pay, and other privileges.
If you're still looking for a job, career and education technology company Prosple shared a list of the top employers for fresh graduates in the Philippines in 2024 that could help you with your search.
Consumer goods company Unilever Philippines topped the list, up from 23rd last year. Pharmaceutical company Unilab, which ranked first in its 2023 list, went to third place. Security Bank had a significant rise, jumping from 71st to seventh place.
Here are Prosple’s Top 10 companies to work for in the country.
- Unilever Philippines, which manufactures products like food, condiments, ice cream, well-being vitamins, minerals and supplements, tea, coffee, breakfast cereal, cleaning agents, water and air purifiers, pet food, toothpaste, beauty products, and personal care;
- Emerson Manila, a global technology and software company that helps customers in critical industries like life sciences, energy, power and renewables, chemical, and advanced factory automation operate more sustainably while improving productivity, energy security and reliability;
- Unilab, a pharmaceutical company that's home to over 300 brands of prescription drugs, consumer healthcare, and personal care products;
- Oracle Philippines, which provides organizations around the world with computing infrastructure and software to help them innovate, unlock efficiencies, and become more effective;
- AboitizPower, a power company engaged in power generation, power distribution, distributed energy, and retail electricity services to address the country's energy trilemma of security, affordability, and sustainability;
- Home Credit Philippines that gives Filipinos access to credit for smartphones and laptops, home appliances and furniture, bicycles and motorcycle accessories, electronics and hardware, and sports equipment in over 14,000 partner stores;
- Security Bank Corporation with major businesses like retail, commercial and corporate banking, and financial markets, which offer a wide range of services like financing and leasing, foreign exchange and stock brokerage, investment banking, and asset management;
- Emma – The Sleep Company that aims to deliver a better sleep experience through its products like mattresses, beds, pillows, and accessories;
- Manila Electric Company (Meralco), an electric distribution utility company that ensures a reliable and sustainable energy supply in the country; and
- Nestle Philippines, a food and beverage company that aims to enhance quality of life through products that cater to different ages like milk, coffee, creamer, iced tea, chocolate, cereal, pet food, and condiments.
Yohanne Esguerra, the company's head of partnerships, described their methodology as one that "combines the dual facets of popularity and quality to evaluate each employer’s internship and graduate programs comprehensively."
Prosple said it accounted for student popularity (75%), which includes page views and applications, and program quality (25%), which includes graduate satisfaction reviews.
