Jiu-jitsu fighter Annie Ramirez bagged another gold medal for the Philippines in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.

This comes after Ramirez defeated Galina Duvanova of Kazakhstan in the final of the women’s -57 kilogram division of the Asiad’s ju-jitsu competition at the XSL Gymnasium in China on Friday, October 6.

The three-time champion in the Southeast Asian Games scored two points over her opponent in the final to complete her unbeaten run to clinch a golden finish.

Ramirez previously outpointed Vietnam's Thi Thuong Ie in the round of 16, Singapore's Fiona Toh in the quarterfinals, and Shamsa Alameri of the United Arab Emirates in the semifinals.

With the win, the Philippines now has its third gold medal in Asiad, following pole vaulter EJ Obiena and Ramirez’s jiu-jitsu teammate Meggie Ochoa

The Philippines is currently in the 22nd place among the 45 countries competing in the 19th Asian Games. As of writing, the country has 17 medals, with two silvers from Wushu's Arnel Mandal and boxing's Eumir Marcial, and 12 bronze medals.

The games are set to conclude on Oct. 8.
