Alden Richards, Xian Lim to host Miss Universe Philippines 2023
More details on the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2023 finals night have been revealed during the press presentation on Tuesday, April 11.
According to the organization, actors Alden Richards and Xian Lim will be hosting the big event happening on May 13.
Xian has hosted several other beauty pageants in the past. In an old interview, the actor said that he enjoys hosting it.
"Ever since I’ve started doing Binibining Pilipinas, kumbaga nagkaroon na siya ng lugar sa puso ko, e—to be a host. Ang saya lang, being able to spend time with the crowd introducing all the candidates really has a place in my heart. I feel very comfortable doing it," he said. Alden, meanwhile, has joined various male beauty pageants before entering showbiz.
Joining them backstage at the SM Mall of Asia Arena are Tim Yap and Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne.
Meanwhile, Fil-Am Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel will attend the event, as with Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi.
Two musicians are also slated to perform that night. American Idol alumna Jessica Sanchez was named as a special guest performer, along with South Korean idol Nam Woo-Hyun.
The winner of the pageant will represent the Philippines in the 72nd Miss Universe competition later this year in El Salvador.
