Having problems with MS Teams?

Microsoft has confirmed that there’s a major outage to its Microsoft Teams service within the Asia-Pacific region.

The company’s verified Microsoft 365 Status page said in a tweet on Wednesday, Feb. 8 that they are now investigating the matter.

“We’re investigating an issue affecting user access to Teams services and functionality for customers hosted within the Asia-Pacific region,” it read.

In a follow-up tweet, Microsoft added that they are “continuing to address the failing Teams scenarios that include but are not limited to messaging delays, call failures, and chat presence.”

Microsoft stressed in another tweet that they will continue working “until the service has fully recovered.”

"MS Teams" is now trending on Twitter as Internet users flocked to the online platform for their social media fix as they couldn’t send messages and attach files to their group chats on their work app.

“Ayaw na naman makisama ng MS Teams today. Itigil na daw natin ang pagpapanggap,” a Twitter user joked.

“MS Teams is down, ano na? Uwi na tayo, matutulog nalang ako,” another one said.

MS Teams, for its part, has apologized to its users for the inconvenience.

Replying to some complaints on Twitter, the business communication platform said: "Hi there, we apologize for the inconvenience, our team is aware and actively investigating."

Down Detector, a real-time problem and outage monitoring site, showed a spike of users reporting issues with the app from a zero baseline on Feb. 8 to a peak of 137 and growing.

Note: This is a developing story.
