Michelle Dee highlights importance of self-care after hospital visit on 28th birthday

Michelle Dee said she would focus more on self-care after her surprise visit to the operating room following her birthday celebration.  

On her Instagram post on Tuesday, the beauty queen shared her realizations after being rushed to the hospital yesterday, April 24—on her 28th birthday. 

“Built to last,” she began her caption, sharing a photo of her dazzling in a silver swimsuit.
 
“On my 28th birthday, the Universe has shown me the importance of pacing myself and focusing on my true priorities,” the beauty queen said. “I'll keep moving forward with self-care, pursuing my passions, and appreciating life's precious moments.”

Prior to this, the MUPh – Makati bet posted on Instagram stories a photo of herself smiling while lying down on a hospital bed with the text, “brb (be right back). On Monday night, she tweeted: “Just got out of the operating room. All is well & all love.”

Although she did not disclose her specific health condition, Dee shared an article from Village Pipol magazine that cited “hemorrhage and bleeding” as the reason for her operation on her IG stories. 

Michelle Dee is one of the 40 candidates in this year’s Miss Universe Philippines—which will be held on May 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Prior to this, Dee previously reigned as Miss World in 2019, and was named Miss Universe Philippines Tourism in 2022.
