This Singapore hotel will pay you if it rains during your stay

A hotel in Singapore is offering to pay its guests if it rains during their trip.

InterContinental Singapore recently launched a rain insurance package dubbed “Rain Resist Bliss,” offering a reimbursement voucher for a one-night stay to guests whose vacation gets affected by the rain.

The unique offer was started by the hotel’s general manager Andreas Kraemer, who got the idea from one of his friends during their talks about luxury travel.

“I was chatting with a group of friends about what’s next in luxury travel and one of them jokingly commented that being able to guarantee good weather would be the next level of ultimate luxury travel,” Kraemer shared with CNN International

Guests can avail of the package if they book either a Junior Suite, One-Bedroom Suites Royal Suite, Ambassador Suite, or Presidential Suite, with prices ranging from 669 SGD (over P27,000) to 4,578 SGD (P190,000)

Apart from getting a rebate voucher, guests can enjoy a dedicated butler available 24/7 to attend to all their needs and wants on their next stay, as well as access to their Club InterContinental lounge, including its benefits.

Note that this package is not automatically granted to all customers as it follows certain conditions.

The deal only covers official check-in and check-out times at 3:00 p.m. and 12 p.m., respectively. Early check-in and late check-out are excluded.

If the rain was 120 minutes long during the four-block hour during the daylight hours (8 a.m. to 7 p.m.), guests will automatically be eligible for the vouchers, which will be given seven days after the weather data has been published by the National Environment Agency of Singapore.

Each voucher is valid for redemption within six months from the date it was issued, and can be used solely in the InterContinental Hotel in Singapore.

If you need to extend your stay, keep in mind that plans that were not included in the original booking will no longer be covered by rain insurance.

The offer is available for a limited time.
