This quaint vacation home in Alfonso, Cavite puts family bonding at its core

There's no place like home, as they always say, which is why it's often a challenge to find the perfect vacation spot for that much-needed escape from reality. But tucked away in the corners of Afonso, Cavite is a luxurious villa that can give you a feeling that's just as sweet as home.

The Kind Home by House of Vallinder, a residence near Tagaytay which officially opened in April 2022, is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It is a peaceful and tranquil oasis that is sure to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

With their mantra "kindness is contagious," the owners and staff make every effort to spread only positive vibes and energy to guests staying at their villa.

"'Yung concept, na-establish siya during the pandemic. It's a brand that's actually more on compassion and more on promoting kindness," owner April Rose Hietala shared in an interview with PhilSTAR L!fe, adding that her being vegan also inspired their distinct label.

"We have this saying that kindness and compassion should start on your plate," she highlighted.

Right from the get-go, you'll be surrounded by stylish furniture and fixtures that have all been hand-picked to envelop you with that familiar feeling of home.

According to Hietala, they made sure to fill the vacation home with nothing but personal and custom-made furniture.

"I want the family who will rent my property to feel special. Every money that they will use to rent my property, they know that we value it because I know money is always hard-earned. So, of course, I want to give more than what they're paying me. That's why we curate the furniture, all of what you can see and then we imported the majority of products to be on The Kind Home," she said.

At the same time, you'll also be treated as The Kind Home has everything you need to indulge yourself in luxury and personalized comfort, from heavenly pillows and linens to customized essentials and toiletries.

The property can accommodate up to 15 guests with its four bedrooms and one master bedroom, each of which is equipped with its own mini refrigerator, aircon, television with Netflix and Disney+, Jack and Jill bathroom, coffee table, and chairs to complement the view, among others.

Guests also have at their disposal a kitchen where they can prepare some genuine home-cooked meals, provided that they bring their own ingredients. There's also an open bar area complemented by a quaint swing and comfortable floor cushions where you can hang out for some cold beer.

"Once you enter the place, it's relaxing. We strategically chose that land because we have a view that is lush with nature and greens. So we really chose that because it's one with nature and then it's very quiet in the area, so you can really relax," Hietala said, adding that The Kind Home encourages its guests to go out and enjoy the outdoors. There is a beautiful sunken lounge area with comfortable seating and a heated swimming pool made with Sukabumi stone from China and Indonesia.

But if you're the type who wants to maximize your visit to new places by exploring nearby attractions, then you can trust that your wanderlust will be satisfied as the property is built inside Godos Farm, giving you access to a lovely river and other sceneries that you can only really experience in the province.

Other establishments that are just a few kilometers away include Twin Lakes Tagaytay, Sky Ranch, Picnic Grove, The Puzzle Mansion, and more.

Ultimately, when it's time to pack up their belongings and head home, Hietala wishes for her guests to bring home unforgettable moments of outdoor delight and a stronger connection than ever.

"At the end of the day, I want my customers to remember the family bonding. That's why we highly discourage watching TV [and to be always] on your cellphones because at the end of the day, children won't remember whatever you give them, but they remember the time you spent with them," she said.

"So so we want them to remember that this house is a part of their wedding, or a part of their birthday party, or that our house is a part of that bonding that they have with their family," she added.

The Kind Home is available for rent at P27,857 per night but can increase up to P29,000 during peak days.
