Even though the summer season in the Philippines is nearing its end, it's not too late to pack your bags and go on a trip away from home.

However, if you're not sure which country to choose to satisfy your wanderlust, then worry no more as new data has revealed the top destinations Filipinos want to visit this year.

Flight booking search service Google Flights has gathered the most popular destinations based on their Google Flight searches for the months of June to August 2023.

The top 10 destinations are as follows:

It was also found that several countries in Asia emerged as the leading travel destinations for Filipinos. The top countries Filipinos are searching for on Google are Japan, Thailand, the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea.

The Land of the Rising Sun is particularly favored, appearing 22 times in the top ten lists of countries that Google Flights studied.

When it comes to local tourist attractions, these destinations emerged as the leading places to satisfy your wanderlust:

  1. Sundowners Beach Villas - Newly opened two-hectare beach front resort in Zambales that features whitewashed villas by the beach.

Like all good things, traveling comes with a hefty price, especially if you're eyeing to sightsee in international countries, but Google Flights highlighted that you can still worm your way out of spending a huge sum of money in booking a flight.

According to pricing data on the search service for trips departing from the Philippines, airfare is usually at their lowest at around four to five and a half months before departure.
