Straw Hats to set sail in Netflix's new ‘THE ONE PIECE’ anime remake
The adventure continues for all One Piece fans as Netflix has announced that a new adaptation of the beloved anime is in the works.
On Sunday, December 17, the streaming giant unveiled a special announcement video revealing that the Straw Hat’s adventure into the East Blue will continue with yet another animated series.
The announcement comes months after One Piece celebrated its 25th anniversary in July this year and Netflix's live adaptation of the franchise made waves worldwide, amassing 37.8 million views and cracking the Netflix Top 10 in 93 countries.
Dubbed The One Piece, the upcoming anime will adapt the popular manga by Eiichiro Oda, which center on centers on the adventures of aspiring pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hats crew as they journey to the Grand Line in pursuit of the legendary One Piece treasure.
WIT, the studio behind Attack on Titan seasons 1 to 3 and SPY x FAMILY, will co-produce the anime series in collaboration with Shueisha, Fuji Television Network, and Toei Animation Co.
