LIST: New films and series you can binge-watch on Prime Video this holiday season

The Holiday break is coming! Have you updated your watchlist? 

There is only less than a month ‘til the most-awaited holidays, and most people are now busy planning their holiday breaks to spend it on group and/or family parties out of town or out of the country.  

If big gatherings aren’t your thing, why not keep it simple and treat yourself to a whole day of movie/ series marathon? Not only will you escape the heavy traffic, but you will also get to save money and energy, especially after working hard this year.

Roadkillers (streaming on Nov. 30)

Miss seeing the “president” Nadine Lustre on your screens? Watch her on her thrilling journey on the rural roads of Luzon as Stacey, who's on a mission to retrieve her dead father's body. Desperate to fulfill her mission, she finds herself entangled in mysterious tasks including forcing her to steal and commit a brutal murder—all while seeking her father's captor and being haunted by her sins from the past. Candy Cane Lane (streaming on Dec. 1)

This holiday comedy adventure follows the story of Chris, portrayed by Eddie Murphy, who has only one mission this Christmas: to win the neighborhood’s annual Christmas home decoration contest. He decides to team up with a mischievous elf named Pepper (Jillian Bell) who in turn casts a magic spell that wreaks havoc on the whole town. Chris, alongside his family, finds himself on an adventure to break Pepper’s spell to save Christmas. Watch the trailer here.

My Man is Cupid (streaming on Dec. 1)

Cheon Sang-hyuk (Jang Dong-yoon) is a love fairy who lost his wings in a tragic incident 500 years ago. To restore his wings, he underwent multiple metamorphoses where he eventually met Oh Baek-ryun (NANA), a charming veterinary surgeon liked by many men. Despite her beauty, admirers would always find themselves caught up in supernatural accidents and end up running away from her. The pair who have been unlucky in love feel drawn to one another, but will fate be on their side?

Fangirl in the comfort of your home as you cheer for your favorite K-pop groups in the K-pop show  Inkigayo presented by SBS. It recently had its first overseas performance in 27 years at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan last October. Comprising the stellar lineup of artists are NCT Dream, (G)I-DLE, Kep1er, NiziU, Oh My Girl, ATEEZ, TEMPEST, ZEROBASEONE, SHINee's Key, INI, The New Six (TNX), and TNX. 

Merry Little Batman (streaming on Dec. 8)

This animated family action comedy follows the adventure of young Damian Wayne (voiced by young Filipino-American actor Yonas Asuncion Kibreab) as he transforms into “Little Batman” after spending the holidays alone. He aims to defend his home and Gotham City from evil forces that intend to destroy the holidays.

Your Christmas or Mine 2 (streaming on Dec. 8)
Your Christmas or Mine 2 starring Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk.

The sequel follows the story of the (chaotic) holidays of James (Asa Butterfield) and Hayley’s (Cora Kirk) family after a mix-up with transport at the airport. They would end up at each other’s accommodations, on different sides of a valley, and at opposite ends of the Tripadvisor rating scale. The two would find themselves on a fun yet draining journey to save their Christmas, as well as their relationship this holiday. 

Death’s Game (streaming on Dec. 15)

Choi Yee-jae (Seo In-guk) leads an unfortunate life, experiencing failure in every aspect. Overhwelmed by frustration, he decides to take his own life and “control death.” As a consequence, Death (Park So-dam) punishes him with 12 reincarnations. In this game, he will experience living as a painter, athlete, detective, and prisoner, among others. 

Reacher (streaming on Dec. 15)
Reacher season two starring Alan Ritchson.

The second season follows the story of veteran military police investigator Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) who is on a new mission to track the mysterious death of the members of his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations. 

Joining him in the thrilling mission are his former teammates: Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan), a forensic accountant for whom Reacher has long had a soft spot, and fast-talking, switchblade-wielding family man David O’Donnell (Shaun Sipos).
