This Filipino fan secured 17 tickets to Coldplay’s world tour in 7 countries. Here's why he's watching them all

For such a distinguished rock band as Coldplay, securing tickets to their world tours entails fighting tooth and nail against other fans. In fact, it was reported that the queue for their presale in Manila has reached over 100,000.

However, a Filipino Coldplay fan has managed to get a total of 17 tickets to shows in seven countries for Coldplay’s "Music of the Spheres World Tour," with 12 of them still upcoming.

Superfan Neil Enore is set to attend two performances in Taiwan, two in Australia, one in the Philippines, six in Singapore, and finally, one in Thailand. Prior to this, he already attended five shows—four in England and one in Scotland.

Enore is one of the very few (if not the only one) to be present in almost the whole Asian leg of the tour. This makes him the envy of other Coldplay fans in the Philippines, with some willing to splurge as much as P46,000 in limited tickets for "enhanced experiences" just so they could see the group perform on stage.

In a short chat with PhilSTAR L!fe, Enore shared that he first discovered Coldplay's music because of former radio personality Mo Twister, who frequently played Coldplay songs during his morning show on Magic 89.9.

"[I] got curious about the band and the rest is history! What I like about their music is how much power they bring to the people that listen to them," Enore said, highlighting that their songs bring healing amid tough times.

"I have some personal experience, too! I'm the type of person in which any movie or series won't make me cry, but for some reason, I got teary-eyed multiple times when I was watching them back in their UK concert. It may be tears of joy or just actually feeling the power of their songs," he added.

As a longtime fan, Enore had already experienced what it's like to attend a Coldplay concert. He previously attended three shows from "A Head Full of Dreams World Tour" in 2016, with one in Manila and two in South Korea. But what's his goal in watching multiple times for what's essentially the same show?

With several tickets secured, one would think that Enore has some sort of foolproof trick that no other fan knows about. According to him, all it really takes is prayers, but he also stressed to only buy from legitimate sellers.

"Please don't patronize scalpers or resellers. In all my Coldplay shows, never did I get one ticket that I got from any third-party sellers. All were booked by myself. If the ticket is really for you, the universe will do their own way of letting you secure the tickets that you want. Manifesting works!" he advised.

Perhaps all that's left of him now is to meet the group, which consists of vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion.

If that dream were to become a reality, here's what Enore would say to them: "Thank you! Thank you for your music. Your music brought me to places and I'll forever be grateful to that. Please continue making more music (...and world tours)."

Some of Coldplay's hit songs include Fix You, The Scientist, Viva La Vida, and many more. They are set to perform in the Philippines on Jan. 19 and 20, 2024 at the Philippine Arena, with tickets for the second date going on sale this June 22.
