Gear up, gamers! The much-awaited gaming console from Sony, the PlayStation Portal, is coming in hot this November 15.

Last May, Sony revealed its latest tech innovation—the PlayStation Portal, a handheld gaming device that can stream games from your PS5 console. This handheld console, previously called "Project Q," has the same features as PS5’s DualSense controller and provides a “high-definition visual experience” through its 8-inch LCD screen.

According to Sony's update on its blog last Aug. 23, the upcoming gadget will drop in "select markets" on Nov. 15. Tech outlets, meanwhile, presumed the first countries to get their hands on the PlayStation Portal are presumably the same countries that preorders are available in namely, the United States, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Span, and Portugal.

PlayStation Portal will only be available for preorder directly on playstation.com and selected retailers in the said countries on September 29. They have yet to reveal the dates of release in other countries, including the Philippines.

Unlike Nintendo Switch and PlayStation Vita, Sony's new handheld console will not work without the PS5 console since there won't be any games that would run on the device itself. Though, it is still useful for those who live with other people since there will not be any fighting over who gets to use the TV anytime soon.

The PlayStation Portal is expected to retail for $199.99 (P11,388.93).
