Bring out your tissues, WandaVisioin fans. Marvel's 2021 hit series will not be renewed for a second season, the studio confirmed three years since its premiere.

In January 2021, WandaVision premiered on Disney+ to a massive success. It was the first television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), picking up after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019). It follows Wanda as she experiences different stages of grief following Vision's death in a fictional town called Westview.

The show became an instant favorite among fans and critics for its beautiful portrayal of grief and loss through the lens of a superhero whose powerful ability can bend reality.

WandaVision earned 23 nominations at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards, the most for any Marvel show in history.

Although everyone has been wanting for a new season, all good things must come to an end. With its upcoming release in 4K, the Marvel Studios confirmed the unfortunate news that WandaVision is just that—a nine-episode limited-edition series.

"WandaVision: The Complete Series" is one of the many Disney+ shows lined up for a physical release, insinuating the story's conclusion.

After going their separate ways, the story of Wanda and Vision ended together on the show. But it may not be the case for the fan-favorite Agatha Harkness. In 2021, Agatha: Coven of Chaos was officially announced during Disney Day, serving as a spin-off to WandaVision. Some familiar elements, including the fictional town of Westview, are reportedly set to return.
