Laughter and entertainment were in order as the three biggest noontime shows in the country aired at 12 o’clock p.m. on TV today, July 1.

The iconic Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, or collectively known as TVJ together with their fellow “Legit Dabarkads” made their comeback to the national television via their new network, TV5.

Although it was not immediately clear, the show will be called “E.A.T."

“Darbarkads, hinihintay pa rin namin ang pag-uwi sa pangalan na tinawag sa’min for almost 44 years. Sa ngayon, Dabarkads, ang mahalaga ay sama-sama kami, sama-sama tayo, may nagkalinga po sa’min nung panahon na ‘di namin alam kung papano at saan kami dadalhin ng tadhana,” Vic said.

“Title po namin ay ang title na alam niyong tawag sa’min. Ipinapangako po namin na E.A.T: Everyday Ang Tawanan,” he added.

Tito Sotto also said that E.A.T means “Eto Ang Tunay”

“Basta, E-A-T: Eto Ang Title” Joey de leon joked despite shedding a few tears.

The show started with TV5 Frontline Pilipinas anchors Gretchen Ho, Kaladkaren, and Mikee Reyes making an introduction of the fellow hosts Jose Manalo, Maine Mendoza, Allan K, Paolo Ballesteros, Ryan Agoncillo, Wally Bayola, Ryzza Mae Dizon and Carren Eistrup.

Led by Ryzza Mae who was dubbed as “Miss Tapsi Logan,” TVJ and the hosts conducted a comedic role playing in their so called “Da Bar: Dabarkads Eatery”

Megastar Sharon Cuneta is present in the launching as she sang Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko with TVJ.

Gift showcases plus monetary prizes were also given to the audiences who shared their stories of being a dabarkads.

Exciting new segments were also introduced, including “Wala Ka sa Apo Ko,” “Gimme 5,” “That’s My Boyfriend,” “Babala, ‘wag kayong ganuuun,” and “Vortas 5.”

A nationwide viewing party across different regions in the country was organized by Cignal TV Inc. to watch the pilot episode.

Meanwhile, history was made as ‘It's Showtime’ made its debut on GMA’s GTV where some of the ABS-CBN and GMA stars united in one stage performance.

“It’s really happening. Wala nang titindi sa pinakamatinding plot twist ng taon,” Unkabogable star Vice Ganda said in the opening gap.

She and actress Anne Curtis led the grand opening production.

Kapuso real-life brothers Rodjun and Rayver Cruz, who were also former Kapamilya artists, joined Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario in a hyper-energetic dance number.

Amy Perez and Jolina Magdangal sang their rendition of Together Forever with comedienne Pokwang who was very emotional before the show.

Itchyworms frontman and guitarist Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz shared the stage with singing champions Erik Santos and Kapuso singer Mark Bautista.

GMA’s leading ladies Barbie Forteza and Sanya Lopez also shared the stage in a dance number with Alexa Ilacad, Belle Mariano, and Chie Filomeno.

Vice Ganda will not be called “Unkabogable star” without her “pasabog” performance. She highlighted the collaboration between the two media giants with a performance wherein she rode a helicopter from ABS-CBN compound to GMA Network and performed in the Kapuso place.

The hashtag #GnaGsaShowtime clutched the top trending spot on Twitter.

They continued the show with Tawag ng Tanghalan Duets,' a special edition of its flagship singing competition Tawag ng Tanghalan, where former TNT contestants Marielle Montellano and JM Dela Cerna emerged as the grand champion.

Over at Eat Bulaga, the show's former host and ex-Manila Mayor Isko Moreno congratulated the TVJ and assured Filipino viewers what the revamped show will still continue to offer the public.

"We will try to make your afternoon full of joy and hope, dahil ang gusto namin araw-araw sa tanghalian tulong at saya ang handog namin sa inyo," Isko said.

Paolo Contis was also glad that It's Showtime will be their new neighbor as it will spark future collaboration between the two shows.

Pinoy Rapper Andrew E. and iconic rock band, Aegis graced today’s episode.

Similar to how it has been since TVJ and the rest of Eat Bulaga's former hosts left the show, this Saturday's episode featured regular segments like “Hey Mr. Rider," “Quick Respond, Quick Reward,” “Ikaw ang pinaka…” and “G sa Gedli” with YorMe and Buboy Villar.
