Attention, bibliophiles: Here's when Manila International Book Fair is happening this year
It's that time of the year again, bookworms! Manila International Book Fair has announced that it is holding its yearly anticipated event from Sept. 14 to 17 this year.
Held annually at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, this year's MIBF will feature over 100 exhibitors, ranging from mainstream and indie publications, university presses, academic publishers and distributors, as well as bookstores.
It is a great chance to add more good finds to your book stash as they’ll be bringing in the latest titles, many are not yet even available online or at regular bookstores, while some reprinted or updated specifically for the MIBF crowd.
Participants who will be visiting the fair may also get to meet some of the authors who will be gracing the event for book signings. They can interact with their favorite National Artists, celebrity authors, Wattpad sensations, top comic book creators, and even international bestselling authors.
Apart from that, the book fair will be holding seminars and workshops on industry developments.
As schools move toward new forms of learning in the new normal, MIBF is also presenting the co-located event School World, which serves as a one-stop shop for educators, learners, parents, school administrators, young professionals, and working adults.
MIBF is the Philippines’ longest-running and largest book fair, which has been offering bibliophiles the most comprehensive collection of books, magazines, comics, educational aids, and more for over 40 years.
