VIRAL: Boy Abunda's hilarious 'Bubble Gang' guesting leaves the internet in hysterics
A multiverse we didn't know we needed.
Social media buzzed with excitement following Boy Abunda's guest appearance on Bubble Gang's 28th-anniversary special.
The episode aired last Sunday, Nov. 19, featuring a family reunion of characters dubbed "Nay, Tay, Boy, Koy, Buboy, Noy, Loy, Romel, the House Boy," who called out each other's names in imitation of the famous talk show host.
The scene also depicted Tito Boy conducting his signature "Fast Talk" segment while their dying father, played by Michael V., laid out the distribution of his property upon his passing and designated the person responsible for managing the estate. Comedic talents like Buboy Villar, Chariz Solomon, Kokoy de Santos, Edgar Allan de Guzman, and Paolo Contis also joined the "multiverse."
Social media users then lauded the scene in the comment section highlighting how was done "perfectly" and was indeed a "great" episode as part of its anniversary celebration.
"Ang galing ni Tito Boy," a user commented.
"Grabe saluhan ng linya!! Solid talaga idol Michael V.," another user commented.
"HAHAHAHHAHA... I was just laughing watching the entire video," said a Facebook user.
Prior to the airing of the show, Boy expressed his joy to be part of the show's anniversary episode.
“Ito ‘yung isang guesting that I look forward to. I was so excited to do it. I didn’t know what was going to happen, pero sobra ho akong excited gawin ang Bubble Gang," the King of Talk said on his show last week, Nov. 16.
The renowned talk show host also recalled how the show borrowed his iconic terms for the episode's special sketch.
“Hindi ko naisip na puwede nilang magawan ng buong sketch ang mga salitang ito (Nay, Tay), and it came out so funny. I went to the set and it’s a happy set,” he continued while noting some observations in making a comedy show.
“Dito ko naunawaan na hindi mo puwedeng maplano ang lahat ng nangyayari sa komedya. A lot of the things that happened in the taping of Bubble Gang, siyempre nanggagaling po sa henyo ni Michael V., ay listening to that moment. Kaya sabi nga nila, ‘death is easy, comedy is harder.’”
“Bitoy, Paolo, lahat kayo riyan, congratulations! Bravo! Mabuhay po ang Bubble Gang. I am really happy that I did this show," he ended.
As of writing, the video has over 820,000 views and 47,000 likes.
