Suit's spinoff Suits: LA is scheduled to start shooting in late March in Vancouver.

According to reports, NBCUniversal has given a pilot order for the spinoff. If the series goes into play, it could be released sometime between 2024 and 2025.

Suits: LA will revolve around Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself while handling high-profile clients in Los Angeles.

"His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved,” the logline read.

The spinoff will follow after the original series Suit which ran for nine series and became the most-streamed program of 2023 on Netflix after adding the first eight episodes.

The mother series hit 3.75 billion viewing minutes on the streaming sites Netflix and Peacock in 2023, regarded as the highest-watched series in four years.

NBC is yet to feature a brand new star as no original cast of the show is included in the upcoming spinoff.

Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Meghan Markle, Gina Torres, and Sarah Rafferty are among the lead stars of the award-winning original series.

"If I got the phone call, I'd be ready to suit up again," Adams said in an interview ahead of the Golden Globes awards.

"I loved the show, I love the characters and I loved working with all these people," he added.

Directed by Victoria Mahoney, Suits: LA will pen its storyline under Aaron Korsh, who created the original USA Network drama. Moreover, Korsh will executive-produce the show alongside David Bartis and Dog Liman for Hypnotic, and Gene Klein.
