‘The Glory’ star Kim Hieora reconciles with accusers after school bullying allegations
Kim Hieora has reconciled with her alleged victims who accused her of bullying during middle school.
Her agency, Gram Entertainment shared a new update on the actress’ bullying issue on Tuesday, April 16.
“Kim Hieora and our agency met with the parties involved in the issues that arose last year to talk through memories from long ago and come to an understanding,” the official statement read, as translated by K-media outlet Soompi. “They have decided to support each other’s lives moving forward.”
They added that The Glory star spent time reflecting on herself “more strictly” to determine what she needs to do to “become a responsible member of society.”
“She has also expressed her intention to diligently rebuild her life with a heavy heart in order to repay the love she has received from the public,” they continued.
“We sincerely apologize for any concern we may have caused and extend our gratitude to all those who have believed in and waited for Kim Hieora,” they concluded their statement.
This comes months after Hieora was accused of being a member of a Big Sangji, a school gang that is notorious for “extortion, assault, verbal abuse, and more.”
While she admitted that she was indeed a member of a school gang, she denied claims of inflicting physical violence.
"I wasn't a good student. I was a gang member, but wasn't active," she's quoted as saying. "I wasn't so bad that I intentionally harmed others."
Hieora portrayed Lee Sa-ra, one of the characters who tormented Moon Dong-eun played by Song Hye-kyo in the Korean series The Glory.
She was also a part of other series including Beyond Evil, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and The Uncanny Counter 2.
