From 'Devil Wears Prada' to 'Modern Family': All the cast reunions at the 2024 SAG Awards

Awards shows always gather the biggest stars in Hollywood but this year's Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards didn't just get them together as the night saw cast reunions of beloved TV series and films.

The 30th annual SAG Awards took place on Feb. 25 (Philippine time) at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California.

Oppenheimer emerged as the biggest winner in the film category, taking home awards for Best Actor for Cillian Murphy, Best Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr., and Best Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Meanwhile, The Bear took home the most awards for TV series, with awards for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Jeremy Allen White, Best Actress in a Comedy Series for Ayo Edebiri, and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

During the night, its crop of presenters featured can't-miss reunions of cast members from beloved movies and TV series like Devil Wears Prada and Modern Family. Here's a look at some of the get-togethers caught on camera during the 2024 SAG Awards.

Devil Wears Prada

Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt joked around with their co-star Meryl Streep as they presented an award, mimicking icy boss Miranda Priestly.

"It's an age-old question: Where does the character begin and the actor end?" Streep began.

Blunt replied, "As we've just seen, Meryl and Miranda Priestly are sort of like twins?"

Hathaway and Blunt contained to channel Miranda during the show. "No, no, that wasn't a question," The Idea of You actor said.

"By all means, move at a glacial pace. You know that thrills me," Blunt added.

The Lord of the Rings

A little over 20 years since they last starred in a Lord of the Rings film together, Frodo and Samwise have reunited.

Elijah Wood and Sean Astin together presented the award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role.

"How's it been 20 years," Wood said. "It's been 20 years and yet I'm sorry you couldn't be there that night," Astin replied, referencing the time Lord of the Rings: Return of the King won Outstanding Cast for a Motion Picture.

"Wait a second, we won? Sean, you were supposed to collect my statue for me if we won. What happened to it?" the Frodo actor said.

Astin then joked that he channeled Marie Kondo and cleaned out his house, admitting that the trophy had been sold to a fan.

Modern Family

The Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker family's all back together! The cast of the hit sitcom, which first aired in 2009, got together to present the award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Modern Family stars Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson caught fans up with what they've been doing since the show ended.

"This really brings back memories. Do you guys ever miss it?" Burrell asked.

"Oh hell yeah! But of course, we had great times. 11 seasons, 250 episodes. Come on!" Bowen added.

Ferguson later talked about how he gets nostalgic for the "golden days." But a life after a big show can be nice too."

The cast also joked about talking about a reboot and the Tony Awards. And an awards night would not be complete without a reference to current pop culture as Stonestreet made a joke about knowing Travis Kelce.

Breaking Bad

10 years after winning for Ensemble in a Drama series, the cast of Breaking Bad got together to present an award for the category, which was won by Succession.

Bob Odenkirk, RJ Mitte, Anna Gunn, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Jonathan Banks, Betsy Brandt, and Dean Norris began to give a sentimental speech about what each letter in the word "Ensemble" stands for, but they found it too "cheesy" and couldn't continue with it.
