On Tuesday, June 20, the comedian posted a heartfelt message, expressing her feelings following the news.
"Alam kong nagulat kayo. Naguguluhan. Natatakot. Nalulungkot. Nailyak," she started. "Haaaaay! Hingang malalim. May kaguluhan at kabilisan ang mga ganap. Ganunpaman, kalma lang (at least try)," Vice added.
Vice reminded her colleagues of a line from their theme song, which says that no matter what happens, everything will be okay.
Tapik na lang to!" she exclaimed.
While some things are still uncertain, Vice said that one thing will always remain the same: the love they receive from their fans, the Madlang People.
Vice rallied her It's Showtime family to keep going despite the challenges.
Itataguyod kahit anong pagod."
"'Di kita liwan. Pahirin mo ang iyong luha. Itutuloy natin ang saya. Dito at doon. Damhin mo ang mahigpit kong yakap. Mahal na mahal kita!"
"Life is fascinating and makes you grateful. When it takes one thing from you it always replaces it with something else," she quoted.
Vice's post comes after ABS-CBN announced that It's Showtime, whose contract with TV5 expires on June 30, will air on GMA’s free television channel, GTV, starting July 1.
MediaQuest Holdings Inc. chairman Manny Pangilinan previously said that TV5 is "committed" to giving the noontime slot to TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon) and offered a delayed time slot to It's Showtime, which ABS-CBN "respectfully declined."
“For 14 years, It’s Showtime has brought joy and entertainment to our Madlang People here and abroad. We value the meaningful relationship we have built and nurtured with our audience in the noontime slot. It is for this reason that we have respectfully declined the 4:30 pm timeslot offered by TV5 for the show,” ABS-CBN said.
MediaQuest has entered into a partnership with TVJ and the other hosts of Eat Bulaga! to produce for TV5 and other platforms.
