Trigger warning: This article contains mentions of suicide.

A new report surrounding the death of actor Lee Sun Kyun has been revealed.

South Korean news outlet TV Chosun has revealed the contents of Lee's farewell note which he reportedly left for his wife, actress Jeon Hye Jin, allkpop reported.

He said "There's nothing that can be done" and "This is the only way."

Lee also apologized to a representative of his agency HODU&U for the "high" penalty fees for his advertisement and film, underscoring the financial strain of breaching contracts.

On Dec. 27, reports said that police received a call from a woman at around 10:12 a.m. stating that her husband had fled their home after writing what seemed to be a farewell letter.

The authorities shortly after located the husband's vehicle in a park in Seoul. In it was an unconscious man, whom they have confirmed to be actor Lee Sun Kyun.

His agency confirmed his demise, saying "We respectfully ask that you refrain from spreading false facts based on speculation and malicious reports based on them so that the deceased's final journey will be in peace."

Lee, on Dec. 23, was summoned by police and held for 19 hours as part of a probe into his alleged drug use.

The Parasite actor was accused of using drugs, but he claimed he was tricked and blackmailed by a manager of a club, police said.

A wake for the actor is held at Seoul National University Hospital. His body will be placed in a coffin in the morning of Dec. 28 and a funeral procession will follow on the morning of Dec. 29.

Lee will be buried at his family's burial grounds in Buan-gun, North Jeolla Province.
