JK Labajo gets invited by Lukas Graham to perform at their Manila concert

Juan Karlos "JK" Labajo has not only captured the hearts of his Filipino fans with his emotional lyrics and impressive vocals but the international audience as well, including this international pop band who has invited him to perform at their upcoming concert in Manila.

JK on his Instagram stories, shared his interaction with Danish pop band Lukas Graham, sharing a screenshot of their conversation.

"omg huhuhu nag reply si lukas graham," the Ere singer said on Wednesday.

The screenshot shows a comment left by JK on one of Lukas Graham's TikTok videos where they were performing Love Someone. 

"Heard you're coming here! Can't wait to watch the show!!" he said, referring to their concert this Oct. 22 at the New Frontier Theatre in Quezon City.

The band replied to his comment, saying, "Hey JK! Why not come and perform this song with me instead?"

"OMG OMG NO WAAAAY. I'M DOWN!!" the OPM singer wrote back.

Previously, JK also made a special appearance at American pop-rock band LANY's concert last November 2022 and sang Dancing in the Kitchen with the group.

Lukas Graham is composed of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Lukas Forchhammer, bassist Magnus Larsson, and drummer Mark Falgren. They are known for their songs 7 Years, Mama Said, and Wish You Were Here.

JK, meanwhile, started his career in music after finishing third in The Voice Kids Season 1. His new song Ere is currently on the top spot in the Philippines on the Billboard charts. He is also the first Filipino artist to land in Spotify's top 100 global charts, reaching No. 87.
