Carla Abellana shares positive comments from buyers of pre-loved items after 'overpriced' criticisms

Carla Abellana's customers appear to be satisfied with her pre-loved items that were previously criticized for being "overpriced."

On her Instagram account where she sells goods from her own home and closet, Carla uploaded a series of screenshots of her customers' positive feedback on the items.

In case you missed it, the Kapuso star made rounds online earlier this month after some social media users bashed the items she was selling, pointing out that their prices don't match their current condition and quality.

The fashion finds include Casadei peep toe heels, a Longchamp bag, Hermes sandals, a Michael Kors purse, and Gucci sneakers.

In her recent post, some customers came to her defense and told her that her prices are only "fair," saying, "They're not too expensive. So go on. Mabibili pa yang mga yan sa mga alam ang real value ng items."

This sentiment was echoed by a buyer of her Casadei Peep Toe Heels which are priced at P5,500.

In their chat, Carla had offered them a refund if they felt that the product wasn't to their liking, saying, "Ang dami po kasi namimintas na pangit po mga damit ko, gamit na gamit, basura, hindi na dapat binebenta... so para hindi po kayo madisappoint lalo, ipapacheck ko po muna sa inyo."

But the customer told Carla that they didn't mind the price at all.

"As to the price mo, okay naman po talaga, Na-check ko din 'yung iba mo pong gamit, option po talaga nila if mag-buy."

In another chat, one user advised the actress to simply ignore the bashers, to which she said, "Don't worry, I pay them no mind. I know that only people who know their value would understand. And I focus on them."

It seems, too, that Carla is used to the criticisms, as she shared in a separate conversation with a user.

"Us celebrities are used to bad comments, judgment, and bashing po. Doesn't make it okay. Not one bit. But we're used to it po and it's beyond our control," she wrote.

In an interview with GMA's 24 Oras, Carla answered the bashers of her pre-loved items and stood by her decision to price them that way.

"Grabe kayo. I would sell something na much less naman than how much I got it for, 'di ba? Lalo na 'yung condition niya, depende din doon," she said.

"Choice naman nila 'yun if they're interested or if they want to buy or not," she continued.

Carla began posting her pre-loved shoes and bags on a separate Instagram page in October 2023.
