Rita Daniela opens up about being a third party in a celebrity couple's relationship
Rita Daniela admitted that she got involved with a celebrity who was in a relationship.
The actress made the revelation during her guest appearance on GMA 7’s Saturday morning show, Sarap ‘Di Ba? alongside Ken Chan and Kristoffer Martin.
In the segment “Trot or Charot,” the guest celebrities reveal about a particular event in their life, other players will do an “interrogation” before guessing if it’s true or not.
When it was Rita’s turn, she read, “Na-experience ko maging third party sa isang relasyon. Naghiwalay sila dahil sa akin.”
The Popstar Kids alumna hinted that the incident happened around 2017 and 2018 and that the said couple is also in showbiz.
She later admitted that the statement was true and explained how it happened, saying that she believed that the guy had already broken up with his girlfriend.
“Kasi usually sabi kapag mga ganiyan wala na sila, ‘di na sila okay tapos meron pa rin pala so nung nalaman ko syempre tinigil, ‘di ba,” the My Special Tatay star said.
“So nung tinigil medyo naging makulit si guy so ako naman ginawa ko lahat para hindi siya matuloy. Pero syempre nung nalaman ni girl, naghiwalay sila,” she continued.
“But also nangyari ‘yon kasi wala pa akong God sa buhay ko,” she added.
She went on to share that she apologized to them “many times,” and that the said couple got back together and is now married.
Rita rose to fame after being hailed the grand champion of GMA 7’s kids talent show, Popstar Kids. She also ventured into acting and was part of teleseryes My Special Tatay, One of the Baes, and Ang Dalawang Ikaw, among others.
In June 2023, she confirmed her breakup from her non-showbiz partner after being together for four years. They are in a co-parenting setup for their son, Uno.
