LIST: Korean stars coming to Manila this 2022

Mark your calendars, Pinoy Hallyu fans!

2022 is a good time to join the K-entertainment craze as it is also when some of their big stars are visiting the country to send some lovin' to their beloved fandoms.

From K-pop groups Red Velvet and G(I)-DLE to K-drama star Kim Soo Hyun, there sure is one to keep you fangirling and fanboying not only for one night but probably the entire year.

We won't keep you waiting long. Here are every Korean celebrity visiting the Philippines this 2022:

Kim Soo Hyun

Bench ambassador Kim Soo Hyun is flying from South Korea for a fan meet with his Pinoy supporters. Titled "One Extraordinary Day with Kim Soo Hyun," the event will take place at SM Mall of Asia Arena on June 10.

Soo Hyun is best known for starring in K-dramas, notably It's Okay Not To Be Okay, The Moon Embracing the Sun, and Dream High, among others.

Fans who would like to see their Oppa in the flesh would have to make a minimum single-receipt purchase from Bench stores to gain access to the event.

Those who would like to attend the event in the VIP section must purchase at least P10,000 worth of items, while Patron A and B are worth at least P6,000 and P4,000 respectively. Lower Box is P3,000, Upper Box is P1,100, and General Admission is P550.

The retailer opened slots for Patron B, Lower Box, and General Admission last May 28 to 30. Stay tuned to its Facebook page for announcements on the remaining sections. 

Hwang In Yeop


PH HIYILYs are in for a treat because Hwang In Yeop is scheduled to hold a fan meet in the country not once, but twice!

On June 19, In Yeop will perform at the New Frontier Theater for the Hwang In Yeop BYS Fun Meet In Manila. Two months later, on August 20, the True Beauty star will return to the New Frontier Theater for his first Asia Fan Meeting Tour.

The Philippines holds a special place in the actor's heart because he studied at the Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School and Philippine Women's College of Davao during his younger years.

Red Velvet

Red Velvet will be performing Feel My Rhythm, along with their many other hit songs, live at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena on July 22. 

Titled "BE YOU: The World Will Adjust," the concert aims to promote variety, originality, and self-expression, particularly among people with special needs. P-pop groups BINI and BGYO, as well as also solo artist Lady Pipay, are also set to take part in the event.


G(I)-DLE

This is the moment you've been waiting for, Filipino NEVERLANDs! Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua will be meeting their Pinoy fans on September 11 as part of their first globe tour, Just Me ()I-DLE.

The JUST ME ()I-DLE globe tour will be (G)I-DLE’s first performance in the Philippines. They were slated to perform in Manila as part of their I-LAND: WHO AM I international tour last June 2020, but it was canceled because of the pandemic.

LATATA, Oh my God, i'M THE TREND, and DUMDi DUMDi are some of (G)I-DLE’s well-known songs.

Ro Woon

Ro Woon, a member of the K-pop boy band SF9 and an actor who appeared in the drama The King's Affection, will hold a fan meetup in Manila on June 26 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Ro Woon made his debut in 2016 as part of SF9. He recently starred alongside Kim Hee-sun, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Yoon Ji-on in the Korean series Tomorrow. He also took part in the dramas She Would Never Know and Extraordinary You. His latest was The King's Affection where he starred alongside actress Park Eun-bin.
